Hi, I’m Kristi!

I am a Physician Assistant, online wellness coach, and cookbook author. I am the co-founder of Nothing Is Wasted Ministries with my husband Davey and a mom to Natalia, Weston, and Cohen.

My passion is empowering people to take back their health using food as medicine and addressing how we interact with the eight dimensions of wellness.

I realized the healing power of food when I was a health coach at a local hospital. I participated in an intensive training with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine where we learned how to treat chronic disease by addressing what we eat, how we move, and how mindful we are. In this training, they brought in some of the leading doctors all over the nation, who taught us how to help heal our patients with food first, before prescribing medication.

My daughter was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder. There was no pharmaceutical cure for this disease. And the medicine they were prescribing had horrible side effects that would suppress her immune system, causing more harm than good. During that training I learned that food could help heal her. So I implemented their healing practices and immediately noticed a difference in her. This ignited a passion in me for holistic wellness. I knew I had to share this simple, yet profound truth with others.

As I began to dive more into this topic of treating illness with food, I discovered that God created us to have a connection with creation to bring us closer to Him. Our bodies are designed to heal themselves, to detox from the harmful things we put in them, and to fight off disease. The more we align ourselves with God and His rhythms for holistic living, the more whole and healthy we are. On the flip side, the more disconnected we are from our food and its source, the more disjointed and unhealthy we become.

I truly believe that each of us has a unique calling and purpose in life, but many of us have been overtaken by our illnesses and we are not able to fully step into that calling the way God intends for us.

This is why I create these resources, to help people learn how to live whole and healthy lives, and to empower them to take back their health.

More About Me > > >

Hi, I’m Stephanie!

My love for food started early. Some of my earliest memories are of playing in the kitchen, creating pasta recipes with cooked noodles, butter, and spices alongside my childhood neighbor. Food and baking are woven into my family history—my grandparents immigrated from Czechoslovakia and built a bakery that grew into a successful chain. In the ‘90s, when my parents did a weight loss program, I became obsessed with making healthier recipes with my mom, which planted the seeds for my passion for nutrition.

After over a decade working in clinical nutrition and oncology, becoming a mom changed everything. I started questioning conventional medicine and seeking a root-cause approach to health. My own struggles—persistent bloating for over a year without answers, sleep issues, low energy, and feeling like I didn’t recognize myself after three kids—led me to discover the power of gut healing and hormone balance. After my third child, my cholesterol was high, and my doctor wanted to put me on a statin even though we ate all the right foods and I was an active mom. I knew there had to be another way, so I started researching supplements and natural approaches to lower it without relying on medication for the rest of my life.

What felt like a midlife crisis became a calling. I left my job at the hospital, our family moved across the country from the Pacific Northwest to Southwest Florida, and I stepped into a new mission: helping women navigate their health journeys with grace, not guilt. I believe food is medicine and that prevention is the most powerful tool we have. The leading causes of death in the US are largely preventable with diet and lifestyle changes. True wellness comes from supporting the body before disease takes hold, not just treating symptoms once it does.

As a total foodie, I believe that nourishment should never feel like deprivation. Food is meant to be both delicious and deeply nourishing, and I love creating meals that fuel the body while satisfying the soul. My goal is to empower women to feel confident in their bodies, at peace in their choices, and aligned with the way God designed us to thrive.

In my spare time, you can find me doing my own personal vitamin D research on the beaches of Sarasota county with my husband and three wonderful kids.
